The government and the multinational pharmaceutical company Grífols have agreed to work together on the introduction in Andorra of a centre dedicated to the research of immunology. With this memorandum of understanding, the public-private initiative with the participation of Andorra Development and Investment (ADI), will put the Principality in the front line of world- class scientific research. It is planned that the headquarters of the Pyrenees Immunology Research Centre will be situated on Casa Rossell land in Ordino, which belongs to the government
The Centre for Investigation of Immunology to be located in Andorra, a flagship project in its domain, will be one of the few research centres dedicated to immunology in Europe and will be used as an international centre for the development of treatments for disorders of the immune system.
