The remodeled Enclar Avenue will be inaugurated before the summer

The works on the entrance gate to Andorra la Vella from La Margineda are entering their final phase and will be completed in June. The new avenue will offer a spacious walking area, a circuit for street exercises and an area for children.

The urban development works on the southern section of Avinguda d’Enclar are progressing well and are entering the final phase. This was confirmed during the visit carried out jointly by the Urban Development Association (APU) and the Municipality of Andorra la Vella. This monitoring of the work has been supervised by the Consul General, Conxita Marsol. Those responsible for the works estimate that the work will be completed within four months.

The project enhances the entrance to the parish through Avinguda d’Enclar with the aim of encouraging a greater flow of vehicles that access the center of the parish through Santa Coloma and the upper part of Avinguda Meritxell. To reinforce this entrance, taking advantage of the urbanization of the avenue, the new entrance portal to Andorra la Vella will be installed with a 50 square meter LED screen that will allow the projection of images and videos. It is a 30 meter arch located on Avinguda d’Enclar around the La Margineda roundabout, which will be an identifying element of the entrance.

The remodeled Enclar Avenue will offer a large walking area, with a 9-meter sidewalk, and will incorporate a play area for children and an area with different calisthenics equipment where you can practice physical exercise outdoors. The new entrance to the parish of Andorra la Vella is frequented by runners and pedestrians and completes the connection of the entire parish following the river. Once the works are completed, you will be able to walk or run between the Dama de Gel roundabout and La Margineda in a uniform manner. This will give continuity to the project of promoting a sustainable city for people: accessible on foot or by the municipal bus that offers tickets at a symbolic price. The urban development work of this action unit is carried out by the Urban Development Promotion Association (APU), which brings together the owners of the area. The Municipality assumes a percentage of the work, valued at around 700,000 euros, which corresponds to the improvements requested to convert the avenue into a large promenade and public facilities.
