Agreement for the creation of an Immunology Research Center in Andorra
The initiative responds to the objectives included in the roadmap of the Government of Andorra to diversify the economy, focusing on priority sectors such as biotechnology, research and technological progress and promoting innovation, attracting human talent and high added value activities.
The Government and the pharmaceutical multinational Grífols have agreed to work together on the implementation of a Centre in Andorra, dedicated to immunology research. The agreement of understanding promotes this public-private initiative with the participation of Andorra Desenvolupament i Inversió (ADI) which should place the Principality at the forefront of global scientific research. It is planned that the construction of the headquarters of the Pyrenees Immunology Research Centre will be located on the grounds of Casa Rossell in Ordino, owned by the Government.

The Immunology Research Center to be located in Andorra, which is expected to become a flagship project in its field, will be one of the few research centers dedicated to immunology in Europe and will serve as an international center for the development of treatments for immune system disorders Source: www.govern.ad
