Visits to the deposit from July 8 to September 2

The Molines Patrimonis team, like every year, met again after more than a year of pandemic to prepare the archaeological space for summer visits.

We now have the Margineda Site ready to receive summer visits. As every year, we did not want to miss the tradition of getting together all the Molines Patrimonis staff to weed and clean this archaeological space. It has been a complicated few months, with all the company staff working remotely for over a year, but what better excuse than this to meet again. The Margineda Site is our pride, and we continue to work and give it all the attention since it came to light in 2007. As every summer, with the help of the Andorra la Vella Municipality, it can be visited at scheduled times. The Margineda Site is included in the guided itineraries prepared by the capital’s tourism department.
The route is called “Tradition and culture through Santa Coloma” and passes through the Santa Coloma valley, with a visit to one of the oldest and most emblematic pre-Romanesque churches in the Pyrenees. It also includes a walk in the middle of nature until reaching the Margineda Site, a visit to the Columba space and video mapping of the Santa Coloma church.
This tour will take place every Thursday from July 8 to September 2 at 9:30 a.m. It has a total duration of 4 hours and a price of €13.50, €6.75 for holders of the youth card. It is free for children under 10 and those over 65. The departure point is at the Andorra la Vella tourist office, and a private service will accompany you to the town of Santa Coloma.
Places are limited. For information and reservations, please contact the tourist office in Plaça de la Rotonda.
As a recommendation: wear comfortable shoes, bring a hat and water.
